Important Test Contents For LED Lamps

Aug 07, 2023|

It is important to learn what kinds of testing to do for LED lights,in some certain which can ensure the products quality. When testing the LED lighting products, we should consider the following:

1, Brightness test: measure the brightness of the LED lamp, including light flux, illumination, light intensity and other parameters.

2, Color temperature test: measure the color temperature of LED lights, that is, the degree of cold and warm.

3, Color index test: measure the color reduction ability of LED lamp, that is, the reduction degree of the color of the object.

4, Power test: measure the power consumption of LED lights, including the actual power and power factor and other parameters.

5, Durability test: test the life and stability of LED lights, including bulb life, switch times and seismic and vibration resistance, etc.

6, Heat dissipation performance test: test the heat dissipation effect of LED lights, including the heat dissipation design and temperature change of the lamps.

7, Beam angle test: measure the beam angle of the LED light, that is, the radiation range of the light.

8, Waterproof performance test: test the waterproof grade of LED lights, including dust-proof and waterproof grade.

9, The dimming performance test: test the dimming performance of LED lights, including the dimming range and dimming effect.

10, Safety performance test: test the electrical safety performance of LED lights, including insulation resistance, grounding resistance and leakage current, etc.

11, EMC test: test the electromagnetic compatibility of LED lights, such as electromagnetic radiation and electromagnetic anti-interference, etc. EMC testing is getting more and more attention, because LED lighting products are electronic devices that will have an impact on the entire power grid products. Electromagnetic compatibility tests include radiation emissions, surges, electronic transients, electrostatic release, radio electromagnetic waves, radio frequency, power supply frequency magnetic field, and common mode.

12, Light decay test: test the light decay of LED lights, that is, the change of light brightness with time.

13, Reliability test: test the reliability and stability of LED lights, including temperature, humidity and vibration, etc.

14, Light color consistency test: test the light color consistency of multiple LED lamps, that is, the color difference between multiple lamps.

15, Light efficiency test: test the light efficiency of the LED lamp, that is, the light flux output per unit power.

The above tests will increase or decrease according to different countries and different applications, and these test contents can help to evaluate and verify the performance and quality of LED lighting products and ensure that they comply with relevant standards and requirements.
